    Scott has 45+ years of experience as a senior structural engineer and project manager on a variety of complex projects. He is licensed in California, Texas, Nevada, Arizona, Washington, Hawaii, Florida and the territory of Guam. His significant experience has allowed him to provide structural engineering services that are dynamic, goal-driven and innovative; easily adapting to difficult issues during the course of pre-construction, construction and completion. Scott has significant knowledge of principles and techniques required to create designs that create a harmony between safety and the aesthetic concept of the project. He has successfully maintained his engineering practice for 35+ years because of his ability to be proactive, communicate clearly , and collaborate effectively with all levels of project personnel to generate quality results.     Full delegated design calculations for unitized and stick-built curtain wall systems, storefront framing, and entrance assemblies — including mullion design, anchor reactions, thermal movement, and deflection analysis.

    Glass Guardrail & Handrail Design

    Engineering for glass guardrail and handrail systems per IBC and ICC Evaluation Service Reports (ESR-3842, ESR-3269), including point-supported, base shoe, and cap rail configurations.

    Canopy & Overhead Glazing

    Structural design and wind load analysis for glass canopies, skylights, and sloped glazing systems — including support framing, connections, and glass selection per ASTM E1300.

    Facade & Stone Anchoring

    Design and independent review of exterior stone cladding anchors, facade support systems, and backup framing. Experienced with European-origin anchor systems and metric-to-imperial conversion for international manufacturer details.

    Wind Load Analysis

    Project-specific wind pressure calculations per ASCE 7-22 for Components & Cladding (C&C), including exposure classification, topographic factors, and zone-by-zone pressure maps for curtain wall, storefront, and facade systems.

    Blast-Resistant Glazing

    Analysis and design of blast-resistant glazing assemblies per UFC 4-010-01 and GSA/ISC Security Criteria, including glass layup selection and framing response.

    Structural Support Framing

    Design of steel and aluminum support framing, shelf angles, embed plates, and connections for glazing systems — coordinated with the building's structural frame.

    Independent Peer Review

    Third-party structural review of delegated design submittals, shop drawings, and glazing engineering packages for building owners, architects, and general contractors.
